MDM Removal Virus Removal MacBook Upgrades iPhone Repair OS Upgrade
Most people know us for MacBook logic board repair and iPhone screen replacements — and we've earned 500+ five-star Google reviews doing exactly that. But Kaos Computing offers a full suite of services that go well beyond the basics. Whether you're locked out of a corporate device, running a sluggish old MacBook, or cracked the glass back on your iPhone, we've got you covered — with transparent pricing, fast turnaround, and zero guesswork.
Here's a closer look at some of the services our customers rely on every day.
MDM Lock Removal
Mobile Device Management (MDM) software is commonly installed on company-issued MacBooks, iPhones, and iPads to allow IT departments to manage devices remotely. When you purchase a used device — or leave a job — that MDM profile can lock you out of full functionality, block app installs, or constantly prompt for corporate credentials.
What we do
At Kaos Computing, we perform professional MDM removal for MacBooks, iPhones, and iPads. Our technicians use verified methods that restore your device to full, unrestricted use — no sketchy software downloads, no voided warranties from shady workarounds. Fast, clean, and done right.
- MacBook MDM bypass and removal
- iPhone and iPad MDM profile removal
- Quick turnaround — most jobs same day
If you bought a used MacBook or iPhone and it keeps asking you to enroll in a company's MDM system, bring it in. We'll have it sorted.
Virus & Malware Removal
Yes, Macs get viruses. Despite the popular myth, macOS is absolutely susceptible to adware, spyware, ransomware, and other forms of malware — especially with the rise of browser-based attacks and phishing campaigns targeting Mac users.
Signs your Mac may be infected
- Browser redirects to unfamiliar websites
- Pop-up ads appearing even when no browser is open
- Dramatically slower performance
- Unfamiliar apps or login items you didn't install
- Overheating or high CPU usage with no obvious cause
Our virus and malware removal service covers deep system scans, malware extraction, removal of malicious launch agents and browser extensions, and a post-clean optimization so your machine runs like it should. We also offer Windows virus and malware removal for PCs and laptops.
MacBook SSD & RAM Upgrades
Older MacBooks — particularly pre-2019 Intel models — have upgradeable SSD and RAM, and this is one of the most cost-effective ways to extend the life of a perfectly good machine.
SSD upgrades
Running out of storage? Upgrading from a 256GB or 512GB SSD to 1TB or 2TB can completely change how you use your MacBook. Faster read/write speeds mean snappier app launches, quicker file transfers, and improved overall responsiveness. We migrate your data seamlessly — no reinstalls, no lost files.
RAM upgrades
If your MacBook is constantly spinning the beach ball with Chrome open, adding RAM (on eligible models) can eliminate slowdowns. We upgrade MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs that support user-accessible RAM, and we'll let you know upfront if your model can benefit.
Not sure if your MacBook qualifies? Bring it in or call us at (718) 697-1812 and we'll tell you in minutes.
macOS & Windows OS Upgrades
Stuck on an old version of macOS because the upgrade keeps failing, or your machine says it's "not supported"? Or running Windows 10 and trying to get to Windows 11? We handle OS upgrades for both Mac and PC.
Our technicians perform clean OS installations and upgrades, including compatibility checks, data backups before the upgrade, and post-install configuration so you're not starting from scratch. We also handle cases where Apple's official updater fails mid-install — a surprisingly common issue on older Macs that often requires manual intervention.
- macOS Sonoma, Ventura, Monterey upgrades
- Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades
- Data backup before every OS job
- Post-install driver and software checks
iPhone Back Glass Repair
The iPhone 8 and every model since uses glass on the back — and while it looks premium, it's just as crack-prone as the front. Apple charges a steep out-of-warranty fee for back glass replacement. We offer professional iPhone back glass repair at a fraction of the cost, with same-day or next-day turnaround.
We use quality replacement glass and precision tools to remove and replace the back panel without damaging your iPhone's internals. This service covers iPhone 8, X, XR, XS, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 series models.
Why choose us over Apple?
- Significantly lower cost than Apple out-of-warranty pricing
- No appointment required — walk-ins welcome
- 500+ five-star reviews and board-level repair expertise
- No-fix, no-fee policy
